Insulator strings
Insulator strings 10-35 kV (Catalog 6.1) are intended for tension or suspension of MV overhead lines (with bare or cover conductors). Most frequently used solutions for power distribution lines can be found in the catalogue. Composite insulators produced by TE Connectivity were used as rod insulators in all strings.
Insulator core is made of RBGF - resin-bonded glass fibre, and the polymer housing is made of EVA ethylene-vinyl acetate. They have been designed and tested in accordance with IEC and ANSI standards. String steel parts are made of forged steel and they are protected thanks to a hot dip galvanization procedure, while tension and suspension clamps are made of aluminium alloy which is resistant to corrosion.
