President Grabar Kitarović at the 50th anniversary celebration of the entrepreneurial work of Stjepan Šafran at Metal Product

On 16 November 2015 in Breznički Hum, we marked the completion of investments in new facilities and technologies, and the celebration was also attended by the President of Croatia Kolinda Grabar Kitarović. In addition to the completion of the new production hall in Breznički Hum, we marked the 50th anniversary of the entrepreneurial work of our founder and current CEO Stjepan Šafran.
The President had nothing but praise for Mr. Šafran in her speech. She also stressed that it is fortunate for every economy, especially Croatian, to have people who, in her words, contribute to a better future of our country. On the completion of investments in the company and expansion of production, she said that this is especially significant since it came about in times of economic crisis, and she added that entrepreneurs such as Šafran are the foundation of progress of a country and a guarantee of a better future.
Saša Klikovac, director of Metal Product, stated in his speech:
“As a sign that we are on the right track, I am pleased to point out that our exports increased in 2014 as compared to 2013 by a full 300%, and they increased by 30% in 2015 as compared to the record-breaking 2014."
"I believe and expect that this expansion of our production capacity, the introduction of new technologies and the purchase of modern machinery and equipment will strengthen our company, and that we are ready to meet the challenges placed before us by Croatia’s entry into the European Union," said Saša Klikovac at the celebration.
