Stjepan Šafran receives Varaždin County Lifetime Achievement Award

As part of the Varaždin County Day celebration, a ceremonial meeting of the County Assembly was held on September 8, the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The host, Varaždin County Prefect Radimir Čačić, welcomed the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović, and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, along with a number of MPs, neighbouring counties’ prefects and other officials, in the atrium of the County Palace.
Varaždin County 2020 awards were handed out during the ceremonial meeting. At a meeting held on July 9, the Varaždin County Assembly passed a Decision on Public Recognition in 2020, and as a result, admirable citizens and legal persons were awarded.
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award receiver is Stjepan Šafran, a prominent entrepreneur, whose work and 50 years of experience in business have made a lasting contribution to the development of metal industry, business, and promotion of the Varaždin County.
Apart from a diploma and a coin, the award also includes a monetary part, which Mr Stjepan Šafran has donated to the Playroom-Kindergarten “Čarobna šuma” in Breznički Hum.
